About

I’ve been tutoring for more than six years - both privately and within a company. I’ve taught Mathematics from Years 7-12, and work at a high school as a full-time Mathematics teacher.

When it comes to tutoring, I offer a few styles:

  1. Catch up
This is for students that are behind in their schedule at school. For this, my aim is to bring your child up to speed based on their school’s scope and sequence - basically a schedule of the order of topics and when they are to be completed.

  2. Refinement
This is for students that are struggling in the current topic at school. My aim is to have your child master the current topic, by going through theory and numerous examples - mathematics is a drill subject. You will not get anywhere just by reading theory. As my teacher told me, “Do the drill - maximise the damage”.

  3. Moving ahead
This is for students that have already mastered the current and previous topics at school. My aim is for them to be future-proof - ready to tackle the next exam well before other students in their class. It is only possible for students to move ahead if they are strong in the previous topics - a tree needs strong roots to grow.
