It all starts with one step…

I will be perfectly honest - Mathematics was not my best subject when I was younger. I struggled with even the most basic concepts and linking them to harder content was even more difficult. To everyone’s disbelief, I was placed in the accelerated class in Year 9. This meant that I was on track to doing both the Advanced (2 Unit) and Extension 1 (3 Unit) HSC courses in Year 11. I thought that it would be a piece of cake. Little did I know that I was very wrong.

It seemed like I was going to finish the course early with a horrible mark. That is, until I met my own Mathematics tutor. He did something that none of my other tutors had ever done - he explained and unravelled the concepts in a way which made sense to me. Little by little, I started to understand each concept. The best part? It made sense. Not only did I know how to do it, I knew how to explain the concept behind it.

Year 12 came along, and I absolutely smashed both subjects with ease, scoring the top bands for both subjects. I then realised that I wanted to help struggling students the same way that my tutor did to me, so I decided to study teaching at university.

My job is to teach you how my tutor taught me.

Now that I’ve told you my life story, why not book a session and start this journey together?
